All Members and Inquirers of New City Fellowship are invited to attend an interactive workshop on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM. (Lunch served at 12:30 PM)
1. "What does cultural accessibility mean? Why is it important to NCF?"
Participants will have a better understanding of the Biblical rational for cultural accessibility, which is a journey that requires cultural engagement and adaptation while maintaining Biblical fidelity.
2. "What are my hidden biases and how do they get in the way of cultivating meaningful relationships with diverse members and neighbors?"
Participants will begin to think critically about the importance of self-awareness and the conscious engagement of others.
3. "Thanks for this info. I want to love others well. What should I do next?"
Participants will have an understanding of practical strategies to build authentic relationships with fellow worshipers at NCF.
The workshop will be fun, challenging, hands-on... and most importantly, will equip us in our ministry work at NCF! We will end the session with a fellowship meal. If you are able to make it, please RSVP for the workshop or both the workshop and meal. There is a short activity we will be asking people to complete before hand, either on their own or at the church a few minutes before we begin. Curious? RSVP to Christina Edmondson at firstname.lastname@example.org :-)
