Is this your first visit?

We're so glad you're interested in getting to know New City Fellowship! On this page, you'll find a list of commonly asked questions. Whether it's your first time in church, or you're a believer looking for a new church home, or you just want to know what's happening in that big brick building on the corner of Burton and Eastern, you are welcome at New City.

What does New City Fellowship believe?

In summary, we believe in one living and true God, in whom eternally there are three distinct persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit—who are the same in being and equal in power and glory, and that Jesus Christ is God the Son, come in the flesh. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and its doctrine of salvation is the perfect and only true doctrine of salvation. For more information about our beliefs, click here.

What is a Sunday worship service like?

When you arrive, our greeters will help you get situated: we like everyone to wear a name tag so that we can provide a welcoming experience. We offer free childcare in our church nursery during the service for children 3 and under.

Our Sunday services are a time when we come together as a family to worship the Lord our God and receive powerful Biblical teaching that's relevant to everyday life. We sing songs and hymns of praise led by live musicians, we listen to readings of the Law, we pray, and we hear the preaching of the word led by our pastor, Tony Myles. After the service, stick around! We want to get to know you, and everyone is invited to Sunday School and a fellowship meal.

What should I wear to worship?

New City has a "come as you are" atmosphere. You will see some people dressed up, while others are very casual. We have no expectations for attire, so please wear what makes you feel comfortable.

Where should I park?

We have a small parking lot behind the church, with spaces reserved for first time visitors. Parking is also available along Martin Street and in the parking lot to the East of the church next to Diversity Counseling.

I need a ride to church. Can New City provide that?

Absolutely!! We have a church van and we are happy to come get you if you need transportation! Call us at (616) 427-3088 or e-mail transportation@newcitygr.org, and we'll make sure you have a ride to church on Sunday morning.  (Please contact us 24-hours before Sunday service so we can be sure to accommodate you!)

Do I have to be a Christian to attend?

No. We welcome anybody who is interested in learning more about the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ.
